IIZRA
Born from the sweat-soaked floors of San Francisco’s iconic 1015 Folsom, where Ismael Rodriguez first established himself as a resident DJ, IIZRA’s story is rooted in the Bay Area’s underground trance and electronic music scene. His early career earned recognition from some of the genre’s most respected artists—Christopher Lawrence called him one of the scene’s “most underrated” DJs, while John 00 Fleming recognized his talent and professionalism. He shared stages with artists including Christopher Lawrence, John 00 Fleming, Yahel, Infected Mushroom, Markus Schulz, Kyau & Albert, Judge Jules, Darude, Super8 & DJ Tab, and Gareth Emery, while also contributing guest mixes to Rush Hour and Global Trance Grooves. After an artistic hiatus, Ismael returned not simply as a DJ, but as a producer. Under the name IIZRA, he channels years of dancefloor experience into a distinctive sound rooted in trance, progressive trance, and melodic progressive electronic music—combining driving basslines, hypnotic grooves, expansive atmospheres, and emotionally charged melodies. His new chapter has quickly gained momentum. IIZRA has released music on Addictive Sounds, including Flow State and the Infinite Skies EP featuring “Infinite Skies” and “Checkmate,” as well as “Horizon” on Déjà Vu Culture. The defining moment came when Paul van Dyk featured “Checkmate (Original Mix)” on VONYC Sessions 1021, connecting IIZRA’s Bay Area roots and years immersed in trance culture with his emergence as a producer. For IIZRA, the return isn’t about recreating the past—it’s about carrying everything forward. His music bridges the raw energy of underground club culture with the emotional power and expansive possibilities of modern trance.

TONEDEVIANT
Born in Vermont and based in Minneapolis, Tonedeviant enjoys blending influences from all styles of trance with his own love of sound design, math, and composition to push the genre to new horizons. Having fallen in love with trance music in the late 2000s, he draws as much inspiration from the uplifting trance of that era as he does from the progressive trance and psytrance of the 2010s and today. Through combining psytrance grooves with progressive trance chords and melodies, he creates music that is every bit as hypnotic as it is emotional. With early and forthcoming releases on labels such as Progressive Vibes Music [“Intrepid,” “Andromeda”] and Elliptical Sun Recordings [“Radiant Sun” with Bryan Don] as well as Axion Recordings, Tonedeviant’s sound is actively evolving across subgenres to provide a unique contribution to the trance scene that unapologetically goes against the grain while staying true to his own vision.
